U2 will be on hand to help start a new chapter of NBC's iconic "Tonight Show."

The Irish rockers are set to take the stage tonight as the first musical guest on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."  Will Smith is also booked to join Fallon for the former "Late Night" host's first episode as Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" successor.

The episode marks the show's return to New York City after moving to Burbank, California in 1972.

Fallon's premiere week will also feature music from Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga, and Tim McGraw alongside guests like Jerry Seinfeld, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Justin Timberlake, and First Lady Michelle Obama.
