The Allman Brothers Band is losing two guitarists.  Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks have announced that they'll be leaving the group at the end of this year.

They say in a joint statement that it's been an "honor and pleasure" to be a part of the legendary band, and they'll be "forever grateful for the opportunity and the experience."  They add that they're looking forward to spending their final year with the Allmans celebrating the group's 45th anniversary.

Haynes, who has been with the group for the past 25 years, and Trucks, who joined the band as a 19-year-old back in 1999, admit they're eager to focus their creative energies on their other projects.  They both have separate solo careers and other bands.  Haynes is also the frontman for Gov't Mule, while Trucks has the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

They add that leaving the Allmans will free up more time for them to spend with their families.
